Our story
Built by people who believe photography agencies deserve great software.
We started by watching a photography agency owner we knew spend her Saturday morning doing what she did every Saturday morning: transcribing booking requests from email into a spreadsheet, manually calculating which photographer was available, and sending PayPal invoices one by one.
She wasn't running a small operation — she had nine photographers, bookings in three provinces, and a client list most agencies would envy. But her back-office was held together with copy-paste and hope.
We looked at what existed for photography agencies. Most tools were either too generic (adapted from other industries with some photography-flavoured text), too expensive (enterprise platforms charging $800/month for features no agency needs), or too fragile (Frankenstein stacks of Calendly + Stripe + Airtable that break when someone cancels).
So we built BookMyShots. A platform designed from the ground up for the way photography agencies actually operate. Multi-photographer, multi-region, real-time availability, with honest pricing and a UI that doesn't make you feel like you need a manual.
